“In a teenage pregnancy is considered high risk derived from the immaturity of his body, so that puts them at risk of pre-eclampsia or bleeding, suffering that rank among the five leading causes of maternal mortality”, said the expert.

The Ministry considers that “more than 60% of teenage pregnancies were unplanned” by couples, many of which do not use condoms or other methods of control.
“Lack of use of some method of contraception at first intercourse increases the risk of unplanned pregnancies and the spread of infections of sexual transmission and the Human Papilloma Virus and HIV/AIDS”, warned the Agency.
This situation Rosas Solis demanded that programmes of information and care for adolescents enhance.
