Jerusalem, 19 mar (EFE).-the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) will today vote a law that would force advertising companies to inform citizens when you edit pictures of their campaigns with image processing as the popular Adobe Photoshop programs.
Be approved, known as “Act of Photoshop” will force advertisers to inform of the existence of digital retouching images of models, said today the daily Haaretz.
Also will prohibit the use in extremely thin models advertisements.
One of the drivers of the legislation, the member Rachel Adatto (from the centrist opposition Kadima), told the newspaper that considers that the dissemination of photos of models with a weight far below normal can contribute to the increase in cases of anorexia among young Israeli women. EFE
