Thus, Méler explains that the grandparents assume work, education, and even the (school, extracurricular activities and displacement) logistics of children because the parents are working, renouncing its own interests ”.

The grandparents are more than a good nursery / school, we are an effective complement to the educational task of parents ”, said Méler.

In relation to the economic crisis, President of CEOMA notes is influencing the role of grandparents. Are grandparents who are contributing with our generosity to strengthen family ties and to articulate real networks of support and mutual help among members of our family ”, says.
