Caracas, 4 Apr (EFE).-the Venezuela President, Hugo Chavez, and his former colleague Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, both affected by cancer ailments, they believe that 2012 stands out already as “a great year”, as agreed in a phone call.
The conversation was revealed today by the Venezuela Foreign Ministry claimed in a statement that it occurred yesterday.
Chávez received the call of Lula in Cuba, where he has been operated on three occasions in the past ten months and first received chemotherapy treatment and now another of radiotherapy, due to cancer in the pelvic area.
Lula, in turn, recently saw disappearing the tumor in the larynx which was found last year.
Both, he added the Venezuelan statement, discussed at length “the advances that are taking in their respective processes of restitution of health” and in the case of the treatment of the Venezuelan leader, he said that “it goes very well, as well as the political and economic situation of Venezuela”.
“Partner Lula promised that as soon as his doctors determined will travel to Caracas to analyse together the regional political situation and to take stock of the intense experience developed between the two countries which President Chavez expressed his immense joy the good news on the recovery of the health of his good friend”, added the note.
