the President of the group Hefame Antonio Abril has been elected Thursday as the new President of the Spanish Federation of distributors pharmaceutical (FEDIFAR), charge was Antonio Mingorance nine years.
The new President has worked as a Vice President of FEDIFAR since 2007, in a Board of Directors that since 2004 had occupied the post of Treasurer. Also from that year, April is the President of the Council Rector of the Hefama group, after having held several positions in the pharmaceutical distribution cooperative and Vice President of the group. Since 2004, he is Director of the Association for the promotion of the pharmacy (APROAFA).
In these elections have been April served as representative of the Association Hefame group, one of the nine business associations comprising FEDIFAR; and LluÃs Barenys representing the Asecofarma Association. After a first ballot on February 16 in which none of the candidates obtained sufficient majority to be proclaimed President.
April will’s President for the next three years, but soon has to constitute the new Board of the employers, which will be distributed the six Vice-Chairs and the Secretariat, Treasury and accounting. For April, the appointment as Chairman of FEDIFAR represents an honour and an enormous responsibility.
Before the Assembly, has pledged to defend the interests of all companies of pharmaceutical distribution with “rigour and honesty”. Also, has indicated its intention of “keep the lines of communication open with government authorities and representatives of the pharmaceutical sector and open new channels of communication that will result in an improvement in the service of distribution to the society”.
To do this, there are the Union of all the companies integrated in FEDIFAR. In addition, the new President has recalled the important role in the health of citizens who play companies that represents FEDIFAR, that, thanks to them, the citizens are their medications at all hours and in any corner of Spain.
For its part, has made a positive assessment of his step FEDIFAR Presidency. The resolution of the direct sale by laboratories or the drafting of new statutes have been identified as positive achievements of its management.
“we have experienced periods of stability and moments of distress and, however, here follow, because the pharmaceutical distribution continues to form an essential part of the chain of the medicinal product and, therefore, of the national health system”, explained.
