Estepona, may 2012.- the Forum on Cardiovascular disease in women developed during the Friday 20 and Saturday 21 April, was a resounding success in participation with more than 100 health professionals, mostly medical specialists.
The objective of this meeting was to analyse the different aspects of differential in women to help identify those patients most at risk to suffer heart disease, in order to offer the most innovative treatment strategies based on scientific evidence.

At the same time, dealt with cardiovascular disease in women from the approach of different specialties, such as Interventional Radiology, internal medicine, gynaecology and Neurology, which, given the Forum eminently multidisciplinary.
Some of the most important exhibitions were those featuring Prof. Dr. Suárez de Lezo, Professor of Cardiology and head of service of the Hospital Reina Sofia of Córdoba, and Dr. Rafael Llorens, Chief of cardiac surgery of Hospiten service.
El Dr. Llorens, afrontó el tema de la cirugía coronaria desde diferentes aspectos científicos y el Dr. Suárez de Lezo closed the Forum talking about his experience in the in the percutaneous treatment of the Degenerative aortic stenosis, a condition that prevents the blood circulates freely from the left ventricle to the aorta.

The closing ceremony was performed by Dr. Antonio RamÃrez and Dr. Juan Antonio Siles, directors and cornerstones of the Forum, who thanking the audience participation and agreed that the debate in the Forum would improve the quality of health care to the affected patients ”.
