The mental health unit of the Department of Requena performs therapeutic workshops with their patients

Requena, 2012-may the unity of mental health of the Department of health of Requena conducts regular therapeutic workshops for their patients with the aim of supporting them in their treatment.

The unit, which is formed by three psychiatrists, two psychologists, a nurse and an administrative and social worker, working daily in these training workshops.

Thus, professionals made with fortnightly periodicity, a workshop of relaxation in which participated more than 20 people per session, as well as other dedicated to mindfulness involving 12 patients. With both workshops we intend to and obtain an optimization of our resources in response to a greater number of patients in a cost-effective manner ”, point.

On the other hand, they have two therapeutic groups dedicated to the emotional instability and another dedicated to skills of communication. both workshops also take place on a fortnightly basis at the premises of the unit.

During the 2011 Mental Health Unit made a total of 4345 successive consultations of Psychiatry, of whom 562 were first consultations and 2.366 with the psychologist, 325 first consultations.

On the other hand, the unit recorded 91 group therapy sessions and a total of 1,409 consultations of nursing. in addition, the social worker has made 165 visits and we have made 105 home visits ”, point.
