Madrid, March of 2013. The service of Anesthesiology and resuscitation of the University Hospital of the Southeast has published a study in the European Journal of Anaesthesiology journal where he analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the use of two types of laryngeal masks with gastric access for ventilation in patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery.
The work has been done on a sample of 120 patients, making it the largest study laryngeal mask in laparoscopic published to date.

Development of non-invasive techniques
The study is part of the measures and procedures put in place by the University Hospital of the Southeast in anesthesia to minimize the use of invasive techniques in the recovery after surgery, especially in the respiratory tract, while maintaining the safety of the patient.
The research article has been done by José MarÃa Beleña (main author), Javier Yuste (Chief of service), Diego Anta, MarÃa Carnero and Raquel Ãlvarez, all in the service of anesthesia of the Hospital University of Southeast, which have also counted with the collaboration of José Luis Ayala (Hospital Infanta Elena) and Mónica Núñez (Hospital Ramon y Cajal).
