Madrid, March of 2013.- the Ministry of health has implemented the new computer tool SISCATA in the pharmacies of the community of Madrid, which came into operation last Friday 1. With this new application, pharmacies can check, only with pass band of the health insurance card by a reader, codes pharmaceutical contribution of each user and their maximum monthly contribution limit set by the level of income that are reflected in the recipes and that entered into force on July 1 after the approvalon the Royal Decree-Law 16/2012, on April 20.

In addition, this new computer application, replaces the document employing pensioners from 1 September and dispensing that avoided any excess in the pharmaceutical provision.

Access to the SISCATA application from the offices of pharmacy of the community of Madrid is via direct and connection encrypted to the information systems of the Ministry of health, ensuring security and confidentiality measures at all times. This has been enabled, by the official College of pharmacists of Madrid (COFM) a VPN-IP communications network that connects to the pharmacies and the servers of the COFM with the network of the Ministry of health.
