Sodexo makes progress in the achievement of its objectives in 2015 diversity.

Madrid, March of 2013– as leader worldwide in quality of life services, Sodexo is convinced that the well-being of the people is a strategic resource for the progress and the evolution of organizations and individuals.

Diversity and inclusion have been key pillars in development of Sodexo for years. Convinced that gender equality is an asset to the company, Sodexo has given high priority to the development of women with a wide range of global agreements, awareness programmes and initiatives.

One of these initiatives in Spain is a Spirit of Inclusion, a program to educate employees about the importance of diversity and the inclusion of women as strategic value. It takes place with workshops where participants can learn about the importance of diversity in the company and develop action plans to maximize its use.
Sodexo has an equality Plan, which includes policies and practices to facilitate equal treatment in addition to other measures, for example, in order to facilitate the work-life balance, against sexual harassment or gender violence in Spain.

In 2009, Sodexo launched the SWIFT program (Sodexo Women ’ s International Forum for talent), a team of 25 women with profile management, responsible for promoting a better representation of women by identifying the main obstacles to their development and implement initiatives to overcome these barriers. As part of the strategy of gender of Sodexo, are implemented operational networks dedicated to the diversity of gender throughout the group, as well as Mentoring programs, focused on exchanges between disciplines aimed at structuring the personal and professional development of women with high potential.

The great achievements of 2013 in diversity and inclusion

Sodexo is 20 °-largest employer in the world, with 420,000 employees. In Spain, the template consists of 4,500 people of which 74% are women and more than 40 different nationalities.

Indeed, women now represent 25% of the Executive Committee of Sodexo Spain, a relationship that duplicates the data from five years ago, it stood at 13%.
