Foundation Barclays finances training programmes in equestrian of youth with disabilities worldwide

Madrid, 2011-July La Fundación Barclays and friend horse Foundation have signed a collaboration agreement to set up a classroom equipped with practical training with ‘ the horse Barclays ’, with the aim of supporting training programmes in the equestrian world of young people with disabilities and in situation or risk of social exclusion developed by Foundation Friend horse.

El Caballo Barclays ”, the reproduction of a horse in real size, aims to facilitate the learning of the tasks of management and day-to-day care of the horse safely and used both equestrian training programmes and programmes of care, therapy and rehabilitation of young people with disabilities and in situation or risk of exclusion social.

The Barclays horse is a pioneer in our country and will serve more than 150 beneficiaries of the Foundation horse friend.

The signing of the Convention attended, the CEO of Barclays CIBWM (Corporate & Investment Banking and Wealth Management) in Spain and Portugal, Pedro Fernández of Santaella, managing director of Barclays Foundation, Evelio Acevedo, and the President of the Foundation horse friend, Mercedes Jiménez Horwitz. Through this agreement, the Barclays Foundation provides 16,800 euros to finance the project.

The Convention takes place in the framework of the programme account with me ” of the Barclays Foundation, aimed at groups at risk of exclusion and improving quality of life for people with special needs.
