Central Lechera Asturiana sponsors the delivery of the VII Prize international Hippocrates.
Spain, December of 2011- Central Lechera Asturiana has sponsored, once again, the Hippocrates international award for human research and nutrition, who surrendered last Thursday in the official school of doctors of Asturias. This award, now celebrating its seventh edition, is aimed at maintaining the necessary stimulus among researchers engaged in this activity of great social and human dimension.
This year, the 2011 Hippocrates award has been granted to MarÃa Luisa Fernández Sánchez, Professor of the Department of chemistry, physical and analytical of the University of Oviedo for his work effect of supplementation with iodine of the mother during the nursing period: study on mothers and infants ”.
The Hippocrates Award from human research and nutrition is backed by Central Lechera Asturiana since 2005 with the aim of supporting the nutritional research work and disseminate the scientific evidence between the professional group related to nutrition. They reward work that specifically attempt to milk and/or derivatives thereof may be prepared in a generic way by research centres, institutions, work equipment or scientific personalities.
