The Prosecutor’s Office of the Principality of Asturias requested a sentence of one year in prison and payment of a fine of 1920 euros for an ATS accused of forging a certificate in order to get highest score in a process of evaluation of merits open in 2010 by the service of health of the Principality of Asturias (SESPA) for job seekers. The oral hearing is scheduled on February 22, 2012 in the criminal court number two of Oviedo, at 1045 hours.

The defendant is M. f. C., born in 1970 and based in Madrid. The Prosecutor’s Office charged a crime of forgery in an official document of the 392.1 article in relation to the 390.1.2 and 3 of the Penal Code, as reported by the Prosecutor’s Office.

On 6 April of 2010, the accused, by profession an Assistant technician health system (ATS), during a process of evaluation of merits opened by the SESPA for job seekers, in the General Register of this organism in Oviedo presented a certificate supposedly issued by the Director of management of the Hospital public 12 de Octubre of Madrid, dated March 15, 2010, in which was stated that M. d. C. had been working there as ATS since 1 July 1993, without interruption, and continued to do so on that date.

The prosecution argues that the certificate had been developed in its entirety by the accused, without that had intervened in the same official on October 12, with the purpose of obtaining a higher score in the evaluation phase. The accused, stamped in the same fictitious signatures and a seal of the referral hospital, ended of serving it on 16 October 1998.
