A new publication gathers more than 400 diagnostic tests for nursing.

Madrid, March of 2013- the University Hospital La Paz in Madrid has hosted the presentation of a paper on diagnostic tests aimed at nurses. The publication in two volumes and more than 800 pages in full color with over 400 descriptions of procedures, is a groundbreaking work, because there is no other publication nursing summarising all diagnostic tests in a single work.

The publication, which aims to become a reference book for both nurses and students during their training, has been coordinated by María Soledad Neria Agujetas, Deputy Director of nursing of the La Paz University Hospital and Agustina Ciudad Jiménez, nurse of the primary attention of the Paseo Imperial Health Center team. It’s a groundbreaking work that brings together in a single work procedures to diagnose patients and their health problems.

The work is the result of extensive work that contains more than 400 descriptions of diagnostic tests, both which are carried out by own nurses as those that lend their collaboration to medical personnel. Thus, described the tests and procedures that are performed more frequently in the hospital setting, primary care nursing consultation or the patient’s own home.

Continuous learning of nurse

The book is structured in alphabetical order, which facilitates access to each procedure which also follows a script to understand each technique quickly and the order to be followed at the time of its realization. divided in two volumes and more than 800 pages illustrated with photographs and drawings in full color to help understand the technique and to visualize the results. Aims to serve as a support in the doubts which may arise both in the everyday practice of nurses learning or vocational training of nursing students.
