Washington, 2 Dec (EFE).-A total eclipse of moon can see on 10 December at dawn from the western area of United States up to Eastern Europe, reported today the American Space Agency (NASA).

Those who wish to enjoy the spectacle will have to be ready before dawn, that it will begin on the morning 0445 Pacific (1245 GMT) time when the shadow of the Earth from falling on the lunar disk.

Nearly two hours later the Moon is totally engullida in a red light, an effect that will no longer see until 2014 and will be visible from the side of the Pacific of the United States.UU, across the Pacific Ocean and Asia, and East of Europe

The total lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth and moon align.

The color taken by the Moon, ranging from Orange to the copper or brown due to the Sun’s rays decompose when passing through the Earth’s atmosphere, leaking radiation shorter than blue wave and allowing the passage of more long of color wave red.

Redness of the moon will have different cycles during the eclipse, “penumbra” is the first stage, when the moon begins to hide behind a slight shadow produced by Earth.

The second cycle is called “umbra” and corresponds to the moment when the moon begins to cover with the dark shadow of the Earth.

Then begins the phase of “totality”, when the Moon is completely covered by the shadow of the Earth and takes a red intense.

The peak of the eclipse will occur when the Moon is completely obscured by the Earth, which is to be lodged in full between the Sun and the satellite.

From the time that just the “totality”, begins the end of the eclipse, when the “umbra” will cease to see again the lunar surface. EFE
