Abbott expands its collaboration agreement with the University of Granada with a new center of scientific research in nutrition.
granada, April of 2013- Abbott has announced the extension of its agreement with the scientific programme on nutrition at the University of Granada, one of the most important Spanish research institutions. The aim of the Centre, housed in the building BIC (business incubator Center), will be the scientific development of nutritional products and methods of analysis that can be applied in the European Union and around the world.
The collaboration between Abbott and the University of Granada puts in contact employees and scientists Abbott with University students and researchers teaching in the common goal of revealing new scientific data in the fields of diabetes, obesity, lean body mass, cognition and early nutrition. The aim of the joint research is also developing innovative scientific nutritional products, discover optimal nutritional recommendations for the European Union and offer solutions to nutritional problems of public health, at local and national level.
