Valencia, June 2012.- almost 200 professionals of all Spain have assisted in Valencia at the Symposium I on child Neuropsychology, organized by the Spanish Association of child Neuropsychology [ASENCI] and in collaboration with Fundación Instituto Valenciano of Neurorehabilitation [FIVAN] during the 15 days and 16 June in the Centre for research in public health from the Ministry of health of the Generalitat Valenciana. ASENCI is one of the three associations that formed the consortium of clinical neuropsychology Neuropsychology clinic of adults [ASENCA] Association and Association of research in Neuropsychology [].

El éxito de asistencia a este encuentro quizá haya tenido que ver con que se trata de la primera ocasión en España que se aborda esta temática desde una perspectiva neuropsicológica. They have been 174 professionals from different fields and all Spain [neuro, psychologists, pedagogues, teachers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists …] which have participated in the 12 papers on this topic raised by ASENCI and dealt with relations between the bases neurobiological of development and the role of neurocognitive from 0 to 6 years of age.

Similarly, an attempt to deepen and put some order on issues as important as the scientific evidence of brain plasticity, early detection of certain deficits, through its assessment and intervention, up to the role of public health in the children of these ages neuropsychological field.

The conclusions of this scientific meeting come to indicate that the effective coordination between all professionals who have to serve and care for children with deficits in cognitive function in these early ages is crucial and fundamental, although there is no care plans of defining and ordering skills and actions of such professionals.

The current director of the Spanish Association of child Neuropsychology, Paul Duke San Juan, said that the coming year we hope to repeat the event with speakers and topics that may be of interest to all as excellent as they we had on this occasion and that have helped us to understand – even – some intricacies of the brain at these ages more life ”.
