the MEP Raül Romeva, Kriton Arsenis, Willy Meyer, Michèle Rivasi and Oreste Rossi tabled in the European Parliament a declaration written where, at the request of associations of people affected by chemical sensitivity multiple (SQM) and electrohipersensibilidad (EHS), requested that all Member countries to support an international disease classification.

The initiative, who support patients across Europe through the campaign ' One Code 4 MCS-4 EHS ', should meet most of the possible signatures before June 14, 2012; still needed at least of 378 members. Specifically, points out, “the goal is to get a code in the international statistical classification of diseases and related health problems (ICD) for the SQM and the EHS”.

In Spain, those who wish to participate to support this campaign can contact the State Association of people affected by syndromes sensitivity chemistry multiple & chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and for the defence of environmental health (ASQUIFYDE).

Is central sensitization disease, although the SQM is dominated by intolerance to environmental chemicals and electromagnetic waves intolerance EHS.

“Both are emerging, high prevalence and infradiagnosticadas or poorly diagnosed diseases due to lack of knowledge that makes them in the health sector,” explained.

The SQM is recognised at European level in Germany, Austria, France and Luxembourg, but it is not the case in the rest of the Member States, for the partnerships generated “inequalities for patients of different countries”. On the EHS, it is already recognized as disabilities in Sweden.

In Spain, the Ministry of health published on 30 November a consensus document on multiple chemical sensitivity, recommending its inclusion in the international classification of diseases.
