Madrid, March 2012.- exposure ‘ be woman. Today ’, of the Fundación Dexeus women’s health, has opened the doors to the public after the opening by the Mayor of Madrid, Mrs. Ana Botella. International women’s day was the date chosen for the exhibition, an exhibition where women reflected on the social changes and how new medical possibilities open them new opportunities, he started his journey in the Center Conde Duque.
The area of equality of the Ayuntamiento de Madrid has led last March 8 institutional acts, with the presentation of the award ‘ Clara Campoamor ’ Margaret Chambers in the acts of the Center Conde Duque room. exposure ‘ be woman. Today ’ is the most ambitious outreach project led by the Foundation Dexeus women’s health.
The exhibition, in the words of the President of the Foundation Dexeus women’s health, Dr. Pere Barri, is “a tribute to all women, through a compendium of exposed realities of living voice by testimonies of real women.” An exhibition where women reflect on social changes and how the new cientÃfico-médicas possibilities open them new opportunities ”.
Throughout the exhibition tour, dealt with the health of women in the broadest sense: from the biological changes that are produced in the life of the woman how scientific and medical innovations have contributed to the assumption by women of these new personal challenges and social rolesthrough a contemporary vision of their social position.
The Foundation Dexeus women’s health presents witness testimony, a reflection on how social changes and scientific advances in the field of health influencing the daily life of women today. With a sunset scene carefully, modern and quality through the application of innovative multimedia exhibition resources: projections of large format, interactive installations, large graphic panels, LED displays, a flower-based screens garden OLED and a projection mapping on a corporeal of cubes.
The exhibition featured three major information areas that draw the complexity of women. The visitor has able to initially participate in a trip by the physiological evolution of women, through a series of interactive which found response to questions that every woman is in adolescence, the fullness, motherhood, menopause or aging. After this first immersion, be woman. Today ” invites reflection on the social framework in which resides the women, the changes in terms of how we understand sexuality, how are today families, the role of women in the educational map, motherhood and its different options, access to information, diversity, or how we face the disease nowadays.
And this reflection would not be complete without deepening the testimonies of more than 40 women and the medical opinions expressed in the last section of the exhibition. At the end the exhibition allows visitors to understand how science and medicine allowed women of today adapt to this new social reality.
Being a woman. Today ” is crossing the physical barriers and bet the world 2.0, with a wide presence on line through an application for Ipad, a website (expo.dexeus.com) and presence on major social networks, which facilitate the participation and interaction of users, with the intention of being an exhibition viva and go nurturing with their contributions.
