Viator (Almería), 15 mar (EFE).-the PP candidate to the Presidency of the Andalusian Board, Javier Arenas, has today insisted that “in principle” does not agree to apply the health co-pay, in the same way that it is not with “spending priorities” raised by the Catalan Generalitat.

At a campaign event held at Viator (Almería), Arenas has pronounced this way after the Catalan Parliament approved yesterday, with the vote of CiU and the abstention of the PP, the creation of a tax on the purchase of drugs, and added that its position on the matter “won’t change” in 24 hours.

Arenas has warned that he disagrees with “priorities in spending” of the President of the Generalitat, Artur Mas, in the same way that you disagree the co-pay, something that has assured, will continue to thinking ahead.

Has pointed out that it was his impression that the autonomous communities and the Government of Spain have to “consider seriously” the sustainability of the health system and pharmaceutical spending, although it has clarified that this should be “preserving the basic rights of citizens”.

Has been supporter of changes “many” in the management of health, so is committed to if it governs in Andalusia a contribution “the more constructive as possible” to a Covenant Sociosanitario.

East Covenant Sociosanitario must articulate among all communities and the Government of Spain, according to Arenas, who added that his main concern today is that “he owed much to pharmacies and have had to ask for credit to be able to pull forward” for a long time.
