Assistència Sanitària announces its scholarship program.

Spain, February 2013.- The fifth edition of the Assistència Sanitària scholarship program, with a prize of 30,000 euros, objective is to promote the continuing education of health professionals, ensuring improved their career prospects and the whole of the catalan health system. With special attention to nursing, the training offer includes about 500 masters and postgraduates of all Catalan universities.

Assistència Sanitària has opened the application period of your study assistance program for health professionals which, once qualified, want to supplement their training with third-cycle programmes. For the fifth consecutive year, 30,000 euros are destined to an initiative that reaches 65 masters and 426 masters and postgraduates of all Catalan universities and affiliated centres which offer training in the field of health. The scholarships cover 50% of the amount of tuition for each applicant.

Scholarships Assistència Sanitària want to be a tool to maintain and ensure the level of excellence of the catalan health system in a complex scenario and with the growing need for professionals supplement their training. A mostly coming from the collective of nurses profile, and applications received increased year after year, make the fifth edition of this program a platform designed to promote access to the world of work. In recent years the enrolment in postgraduate official programmes has grown significantly.

Since its creation in 2008, about 450 students requests have been received and have been awarded scholarships by a cumulative value of over 120,000 euros. Initiative, born of the will of Assistència Sanitària of promoting scientific progress, research and the professional qualification of doctors and nurses, has been from the start, collaboration and recognition of Catalan universities and the medical community.
