Madrid, 2011-September the Group Ballesol, in its constant quest to seek the best care and quality of care to its residents, has developed the specialized program of care for residents with advanced dementia people always ”. Its objective is to fight against the stigma, discrimination and prejudices associated with this disease and make visible ” to the professionals and society people with advanced dementia, promoting respect and recognition of their dignity.

September 21 marks the world day of Alzheimer, a type of dementia whose prevalence is increasing. In order to raise awareness of the objectives of the programme, the Ballesol group will present on 15 September, in downtown Majadahonda Ballesol program people always. Its key us speak Leticia Pérez of the uncle, responsible for the project and the Psychology Department, Ballesol, also we will count with the presence of Micheline Selmes, President Spain Alzheimer’s Foundation (SAF) and other specialists, as well as testimonies which will bring us closer to the challenges of this disease and to the needs of their patients with the ultimate goal of improving its quality of life.
