El Banco Santander drives two ski courses for people with disabilities in Sierra Nevada.
Foundation sport and challenge collaborates with Santander to promote the integration of people with disabilities through sport.
Madrid, April of 2013- the Sports Foundation and challenge, with the support of Santander, has organized family reunions in Sierra Nevada, aimed at children and young people between 6 and 28 years, children of employees of the Bank who have a disability.
The courses were offered from 10.00 to 13.00 in the ski resort of Sierra Nevada, from 3 to 8 March and 17 22 of the same month, where attendees have had a single teacher, allowing them to advance at their own pace and according to your needs.
Through these initiatives, seeks that participants enjoy their family to practice sport. Equally, intends that the students enjoy a week of coexistence and integration that contributes to enhance their social skills and increase their personal autonomy, using sport as a tool.
Both weeks are formed by people with different types of disabilities, including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, hemiparexia, hemiplegia, disorders of language, autism, multiorganicas dysfunctions, sordo-ceguera and varying degrees of intellectual disability.
A total of 32 families and 112 beneficiaries, enjoyed the courses of ski resort of Santander that develops the Sport Foundation and challenge every season with the collaboration of Certursa, the official ski school and the Spanish School.

Sport Foundation and challenge is a private non-profit which aims in the social integration of persons with physical, intellectual or sensory disabilities through sport.
Also contributes to training and labour insertion of its participants, combining the Organization of sport activities with courses focused on their integration into the labour market, thus enabling full integration.
