Madrid, 2011-December La Confederation Spanish organizations for older (CEOMA) held last Tuesday 29 a day on security Legal residences, addressed to directors, medical and intermediate commands of nursing homes and day centres of care for elderly in a situation of dependence.

The course, which took place at the headquarters of the Institute of elderly and social services (IMSERSO), located on the street c / Ginzo de Limia, 58, in Madrid, was based on theoretical presentations by teachers, Juan Siso and Antonio Burgess, who also presented case studies and responded on cases presented by the students.

The day addressed the handling of contingencies more frequent in the residences of older people, such as falls, pylons, deviations of insane people, and accidents with railings, and formulas to protect before the lawsuits and more frequent administrative complaints, as well as normative references from social services of the autonomous communities and the types of legal liability, among other issues.

The objective is to provide the decision makers in the centres of guidelines to prevent the legal risk implicit in them, creating a scenario of greater certainty that allows to develop actions in favour of persons subject to attention, such as the Elimination of pylons, avoid therapeutic take and other treatments of dubious utility.
