COCEMFE and Fundación Repsol initiated a technology for women with disabilities training program in Salamanca
-program form altogether 200 women with disabilities in rural areas of Castilla y León, 30 of them in Salamanca .
-It is an integral formation covering the technology training, labour in labour skills and brokering with potential employers.
-Will employ a fully adapted mobile unit equipped with ICT tools of last generation.
Madrid, may 2012.-The Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) and Fundación Repsol started a program that will be in the use of communication technologies applied to employment, to a total of 200 women with disabilities in the rural area of Castilla y León in Salamanca. In particular, in Salamanca, 30 of them will be formed.
The project aims to make accessible to women with disabilities an instrument serving to strengthen labour insertion processes and promote the use of new tools with which to improve their level of employability. To provide access to eGovernment resources such as employment websites or search engines of job offers, using the latest ICT to overcome physical and social barriers that still exist in society.
This will be used as Office a mobile unit adapted for persons with mobility reduced, equipped with technological tools of last generation routers WiFi, tablets and smartphones, will move to León, Burgos, Palencia and Soria where also will develop the project as.
This training is part of an individualized intervention program that includes work in various labour competencies such as self-esteem, social and skills of communication, or motivation among others, also working with the environment of the person, the family and social remedies from a community approachas well as perform a task of brokering companies to be traded.
This project is the winner of the contest R future without barriers ”, organised by Fundación Repsol last year with the aim of encouraging initiatives designed to achieve the full development of persons with disabilities through training.
The Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) is a non-governmental non-profit that was founded in 1980. It aims to unite, strengthen and form coordinate the efforts and activities of the entities working in favour of persons with disabilities physical and organic to defend their rights and improve their quality of life. The entity brings together more than 1,360 organizations divided into autonomous confederations, State entities and provincial federations, which in turn, grouped to different local associations.
Fundación Repsol, is the expression of the vocation of social responsibility of Repsol, has a firm commitment to integration and the improvement of the quality of life of persons with disabilities. This develops initiatives that contribute to the full social integration of this group.
