Madrid, January 2012- the Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) considered an important step forward the measures announced by the Government to alleviate the financial problems of the autonomous communities through an ICO line which will serve to face outstanding payments.
COCEMFE entities are suffering the effects of this crisis seeing committed the continuity of services and supports that provide people with disabilities because of delays in the payment of subsidies and sometimes threatening which are awarded annually for consolidated programs ”, said the President of COCEMFE, Mario GarcÃa.
Disability associations are being forced to deal with the debt that they have contracted with them administrations but this increasingly becomes more unsustainable and if not taken appropriate measures in the not too distant future Dutch services provided to persons with disabilities, and back again to be the most vulnerable people that are affected by the economic crisis.
Therefore, Mario GarcÃa believes that the line of the official credit Institute may be a measure that will shed hope before the uncertainty in the disability sector and helps to sustain partnerships and valuable services to the Group ”.
The Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) is a non-governmental non-profit that was founded in 1980. It aims to unite, strengthen and form coordination efforts and activities of entities working in favour of persons with disabilities physical and organic to defend their rights and improve their quality of life. The entity brings together more than 1,360 organizations divided into autonomous confederations, State institutions and provincial federations which in turn, bring together the various local associations.
