Madrid, 2011-October the Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) calls on the political forces who are elected in general elections, which monitored compliance with adaptations of Spanish legislation to the International Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities from United Nationsadopted recently and already in force.
Coinciding with the day of United Nations, which was held yesterday, October 24, the President of COCEMFE, Mario GarcÃa, ensures that compliance with these adaptations are essential to achieve that future regulations, policies and public actions towards persons with disabilities incorporated the inclusive point of view and respect for human rights ”.
Approved adaptation is an important step forward in the defence of the rights of persons with disabilities as it picks up all the problems and concerns of the associative movement of disability and reinforces the application of law of equal opportunities, non-discrimination and Universal accessibility ”, notes GarcÃa.

The Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) is a non-governmental non-profit that was founded in 1980. It aims to unite, strengthen and form coordination efforts and activities of entities working in favour of persons with disabilities physical and organic to defend their rights and improve their quality of life. The entity brings together more than 1,360 organizations divided into autonomous confederations, State institutions and provincial federations which in turn, grouped to different local associations.
