Madrid, February 2013- the Spanish Confederation of people with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) wants to show his appreciation to mediaon and the users of social networks that have shown a great interest in information related to persons with disabilities and their families during 2012.
Last year redoblamos efforts to publicize the projects and initiatives that develop COCEMFE and its entities, as well as the active work of representation and defence of the rights of persons with disabilities that the Confederation is carrying out the measures of austerity and social cuts undertaken by the different public administrations ”, explains the President of COCEMFE, Mario GarcÃa.
All this work was moved to the society through press releases, newsletters, digital COCEMFE in 7 days ” and direct COCEMFE ”, the magazine, the website and social networks, where COCEMFE increased 526 percent his followers on Facebook and Twitter profiles. Also, COCEMFE recorded one 28% increase in appearances in the media over the previous year.
According to Mario GarcÃa, social awareness is essential in our goal of achieving the higher levels of integration and normalization of persons with disabilities in all areas of life, therefore to COCEMFE disability organizations, count with the complicity of the media and of Internet users is essential to move the population all those issues that we are concerned about and move towards a more just and egalitarian society ”.
The Spanish Confederation of persons with physical disability and organic (COCEMFE) is a non-governmental organization non-profit that was founded in 1980. It aims to unite, strengthen and forming and coordinating the efforts and activities of organizations that work in favour of persons with disabilities, both physical and organic to defend their rights and improve their quality of life. The entity brings together more than 1,600 organizations divided into regional confederations, State entities and provincial federations which, in turn, bring together different local associations.
