Release of the Murcian society of General physicians and family
Murcia, March 2012.- following negotiations carried out in the region of Murcia (whose first step has been the increase of 37.5 hour workweek), and the different views expressed thereon, the Murcian society of General physicians and family (SEMG – region of Murcia) wants to express that:
-La care primary (AP) in the region of Murcia has returned to be affected, in part because of the inconsistency of the groups representing workers. AP professionals (in all categories) have been without representation in the sectoral table: must be the professionals of the first level of care which both defend the need for improvements required by the PA as the situation of the workers she we do (concerned to see how excessive red tape)(, the increase in demand, the lack of replacements, etc. saturate every day more consultations… more than note that our purchasing power continues to decline – already enduring a loss of 20-25% from 2010).
-Our scientific society defends first and foremost care quality and equity to patients, which continues to be the ultimate goal of any claim. And, for this reason:
– regretted that the Administration’s actions seem aimed only cuts by cutting, ignoring the development of other guidelines to boost the economy of health
– encourages all primary care physicians not to forget that the first thing is to restore the health of the patient, and to do so they must take precedence medical guidelines, devoting to citizens care and complementary tests that each case requires, as it can not be otherwise
– makes a call to the rest of scientific societies, collective of professional representation and those responsible for the Administration to find among all the best solutions, allowing that the sustainability of the national health system is not to the detriment of the healththe dignity of its professionals and care given.
