Barcelona, November 2011- Cranial LOOP, the cranial attachment developed by NEOS Surgery, has increased its sales by 83% compared to his first year on the market. Thus, NEOS now exceeds 15,000 units sold of the device, which has celebrated its second anniversary this month of October.
During these two years, in addition, markets where Cranial LOOP is marketed have increased gradually and today already distributed in over 25 countries on four different continents. These countries include the majority of members of the European Union, as well as the United States. This fact shows that the internationalization of NEOS products is growing, and is thus one of the strategic objectives of the company since its foundation.

Cranial LOOP is manufactured in PEEK – OPTIMA ®, a polymer of high mechanical resistance, developed by Invibio Ltd. Unlike its competitors, Cranial LOOP doesn’t generate artifacts (distortions) in images of CT and MRI, which facilitates the diagnosis and follow-up of patients. In addition, this device ensures the Surgeon a closing fast and controlled, and a perfect 3D adaptation to the cranial surface.
The product has the CE mark, and a year ago obtained the permission of the American FDA to be marketed in United States.
Recently, the scientific journal of Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery has published the first study with patients who had been introduced Cranial LOOP. The results obtained with a series of 35 patients in a Belgian hospital are very satisfactory.
