Day of applications of Pharmacogenomics at IL3-UB.
Spain, 2012-June pharmacogenetics studies the influence of variations of sequences of DNA in the farmacoterapéutica response. The application of these disciplines provides benefits to clinical practice, to develop more effective and safe treatments by streamlining the cost of drug therapy. It also brings benefits to the pharmaceutical laboratories, which can recover and return which, until now, could only be administered in small doses and drugs had a low efficiency.
Next Thursday, June 14, 2012 is organized at the IL3-University of Barcelona the Day of pharmacogenetics applications . The day is coordinated by the DRA. Montserrat Baiget (President of the Spanish society of pharmacogenetics and pharmacogenomics), and boasts several experts of the teaching pattern of the postgraduate in pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine.
The day is the applications of pharmacogenetics in specialties where there have been major advances: Oncology, infectious diseases, psychiatry and inflammatory pathology. All this in the hands of first-class experts, references in research in this area, their applications and their dissemination.
The Institute of training continuing of the University of Barcelona (IL3-UB), with the aim to offer a training adapted to new needs, presents a pioneer training in this field. Next October, IL3-UB inaugurates the postgraduate in pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine.
