Madrid, October 2012.- the incubator of Ideas of the unit of innovation of the Institute for health research of the Hospital ClÃnico San Carlos, IdISSC, resumes after the summer break with a session that was held at the Instituto de Salud Carlos III and which dealt with topics such as milk banks, the legal framework for innovation, the training of entrepreneurs health and innovation in processes to deal with the crisis.
It is a meeting with varied presentations, whose theme was interesting not only for medical personnel but also for students, researchers, biotechnology companies and academic centers.
This event counted with the presence of Dr. Carmen Pallás, head of the Hospital 12 de Octubre Neonatology Service who spoke of improvements in the processing of breast milk in the neonatology units; the Director of nursing of the ClÃnico San Carlos, Encarnación Fernández of the Palace did on implantation of guides for clinical practice on the HCSC: systematizing the care from the evidence, and Ãngela Montánchez, responsible for Lean consulting at Fujitsu health, he raised the innovation in health care processes in response to the crisis.
For his part, the director of courses of the school of Industrial Organization Fernando Pimentel, addressed the training of entrepreneurs health at the Hospital ClÃnico San Carlos. It is the second time that the incubator of Ideas ClÃnico San Carlos moves to other health care facilities to hold their sessions. The first of these was the Lain Entralgo Agency, where Dr. Julio Mayol, director of the aforementioned IdISSC innovation unit, explained this new stage and the objectives that we want to achieve with the opening to the Madrid network of centres.
A platform to promote innovation
The incubator of Ideas is a platform for promotion and dissemination that takes two years supporting and fostering the development of ideas and innovative projects in the healthcare environment. Is trafficking in monthly sessions, where speakers from various fields (health, technological, academic, business,) have the opportunity to present innovative proposals related to health. These days have been held so far in the ClÃnico San Carlos, where arose initially, however given the interest that has been waking up over these last months has decided to hold them at other hospitals.

A unit of innovation pioneer
The innovation unit of the IdISSC was launched in the year 2010 and since then is developing various initiatives, as the project called the biomedical knowledge management in the cloud, launched alongside the CICTE-B company with the goal of providing training to professionals in health sciencesthrough an online service platform promoted by that undertaking which also collaborates in this Congress. It is also participating in the AMI-4-Europe project of medical imaging advanced, multidisciplinary and integrated by several European countries through a network of clusters. This project is funded by the EU within the 7th r & d framework programme.
