“Two activists are detained for breach of orders and the other two by preventing the free movement of maritime”, said to the press a spokesman for police in IJmuiden.
Greenpeace blocks since last Wednesday the departure of Margiris, arguing that its fishing destroys important schools of fish in Australia.
Greenpeace indicated that “super fishing boats as the Margiris are moored without activity in IJmuiden or the port of Scheveningen (the Hague) because they have already reached the tops of fishing allowed in West Africa”, according to a communiqué.
