Santo Domingo, 5 jul (EFE).-Ministers and representatives from ten countries of Central America and the Caribbean today opened a meeting of two days to evaluate the policies and strategies of health in the region, reported a source in Santo Domingo official.

the activity, which is part of the XXVIII meeting of the Health Sector of Central America and Dominican Republic (Resscad), was inaugurated by the Minister of local public health Bautista Rojas Gomez, along with the regional director of the Pan-American Health Office (PAHO), Martha Rose, and the representative of the Agency in the country, Liliam Renau-Vernon.

the agenda of the meeting included also discussions on the progress and challenges in the health sector in the region, reported in a note the portfolio of health premises.

the objective of the Forum is to identify the achievements of that entity during the last decade and future challenges, adds the note.

auch beteiligt das Treffen der Minister für Gesundheit von Belize, Pablo Saul Marin; und, die von Costa Rica, Daisy-Stifte, sowie Vertretungen und Delegationen der Portfolios der Gesundheit von Panama, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras und Nicaragua, sowie Kuba und Haiti als eine besondere Gast.
