Johannesburg (Reuters) – former South African President Nelson Mandela entered a hospital to undergo a few tests, said on Saturday the Government of the country.

the Government gave no more details, but the statement indicates that there are no grounds for concern about the health of the leader antiapartheid, 94 years.

“Former President Mandela receive medical care from time to time, as befits their age”, said the statement.

“the President (Jacob) Zuma ensures that everything goes well with Madiba and that there is no reason to be alarmed”, he added, in reference to the name of clan of Mandela.

Mandela, who became the first Black President of the country after the first elections open to all races in 1994, was hospitalized in February for an abdominal pain, but it was discharged the next day after that analysis showed that it was nothing serious.

the ehemaligen südafrikanischen Präsidenten verbringt die meiste Zeit in seinem Haus in Qunu, eine Stadt im verarmten Provinz des östlichen Kap.
