Experts gathered at the international fair of medicine and health will address the main challenges of the sector
The international fair of medicine and health-FEIMESA will be held from 20 to 22 October in Coruña.
-In the course of three days, FEIMESA will become a forum for debate on the situation and the future of health care in Spain with speakers from the likes of Ãngel Luis RodrÃguez, Director General of the Spanish Association of generic medicinal products (AESEG) or the prestigious Professor j. A Coruña, 2011-October FEIMESA, the first international fair of medicine and health, will be a great forum for debate on the future of the Spanish health system involving national and international experts and representatives of public administrations. The Hall, to be held in A Coruña from 20 to 22 October, will combine an exhibition section, which will gather the greatest showcase of medical and public health products, with some workshops and participatory forums which will analyse the situation of health care in Spain. In this workshop he will participate the Spanish Association of manufacturers of generic medicinal products (AESEG), the National Center for cancer research (CNIO), the specialist in hospital health management Gesmédica, the Spanish society of Electromedicine and Clinical Engineering (SEIIC), representatives of laboratories, care centres, manufacturersmedical, etc.

FEIMESA aims set the keys to the sustainability of our health system, which will devote each day to topical with the holding of conferences to create spaces for debate around sustainability, innovation, disability, dependency and older, professional intrusion, as well as participatory forums that count with the presence of the different actors linked to health.
Thursday, October 20: sustainability of the health system in Spain ”
This day will deal with matters as the socio-economic impact of generic medicines, the efficiency of the system of health, cost savings and improved health management. You will have the participation of Ãngel Luis RodrÃguez, director-general of the Spanish Association of manufacturers of generic medicinal products (AESEG), Antonio Abella, technical director of Gesmédica, Dr. j. Kastner, Chief of cardiology at Hospital AHK of Vienna or Joe Killen, CEO of Tunstall.
Intervention by Antonio del Corro, Chief Executive of Commerce Brazil-Spain Chamber, which will show the business opportunities afforded by the American country in health infrastructure will take place in the afternoon. Finally, the participatory forum, moderated by Gerardo Fernández Albor, will address the new routes to save costs in the management of health centres and hospitals.
Friday, October 21: research, technology and training ”
Angel Carracedo, executive director of the Galician public foundation of medicine genomic, will address the current situation and recent advances in genomic medicine, while Dr. Miguel Angel Santos Gaston, surgeon and researcher, will address the progress of vascular surgery. For its part, Miguel Ãngel Quintela, director of the breast unit of the CNIO (National Cancer Center) delve deeply into the situation of the research of breast cancer. The participatory forum in the morning will be devoted to analyze the access to medicines in the third world, while in the evening there will be a second Forum focused on sudden death in the sport, which will feature the participation of one of the greatest experts in the field, Dr. José MillánDirector of Gesalud and responsible for medical management of Real Betis Balompié.
Saturday, October 22: disability, dependency and older ”

Dr. Georg Oster, delegate of the German Federal Agency for foreign trade (Germany Trade and Invest GMBH-GTal), will attend and disseminated in Germany apparently, discussed and agreed within the exhibition framework. For its part, Brazil will have a significant presence at the fair, in which the Chamber of Commerce Brazil-Spain will present several projects to invite Spanish companies to participate in the construction of 400 care between 2012 and 2016 centres, as well as the contribution in equipment that will need, like other types of projects that have in place for the Olympics and World Cup.
There are also confirmed the attendance of diplomats, scientists, specialists and businessmen of Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Portugal, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Peru, USA, China and India.

The FEIMESA exhibition area will be the benchmark in innovation in health, with special attention to: electromedical equipment, Diagnostics, physiotherapy, telemedicine, r & d, biomedicine, Oncology, cardiology and transplants, among others. Exhibitors who have confirmed their presence at the fair include firms such as Siemens Health Care, Tunstall, Medigest, Artisoftware, Clue Medical, Biologik Solutions, Caser, the national centre of genotyping, Hidelasa, GAES, Visiona group or doctors of the world.
The purpose is to create a meeting point for surrounding medical activity, in which they can find products, equipment and services for health, as well as the latest technologies in médico-hospitalario equipment, as well as the opportunity to experience new products and establish contacts with manufacturers, importers and distributors.
