To promote the recruitment of potential donors in these services, doctor Valverde is essential to establish a programme of continuing education to maintain an adequate level of training of professionals of the emergency services, both in detection of patients neurocrÃticos, in development of communication skills ”.
SEMES President calls for the creation of the transplant responsible
One of the most outstanding presentations of the meeting, was that of doctor Thomas Toranzo Cepeda, President national SEMES, who advocated the creation of the figure of the transplant responsible for ”, whose key tasks must be promotion of donation, detection of leaks, the analysis of the factors with impact on donation and follow-up proceduresto not generate additional charges to the service ”.
To improve the detection of donors and decrease the negative family ” SEMES President indicated that an organizational change of standards is necessary – templates, space, time …- and also give motivated professionals recognized and the possibility of their professional development, recalling that these services are complex and that there is currently a demotivationfor its shortcomings: overload care, lack of specific regulated training, few templates, lack of beds, lack of time.
