Washington, 3 Apr (EFE).-the American former Dick Cheney was commissioned today after having been operated ten days of a heart transplant in Virginia, according to a statement released by his office ago.
Cheney, of 71 years, underwent on March 24 at Fairfax Inova Hospital, in Virginia, after more than 20 months on the waiting list to receive a heart transplant.
In the posted statement today, Cheney reiterated “its deep appreciation to the donor and to the family of the donor”.
Former U.S. Vice-President under the leadership of George w. Bush (2001-2009) had suffered several attacks to the heart in the past and lived with a system of heart pumping from surgery which was submitted in July 2010.
