Four words, fourteen awards.

Spain, March of 2013.- elementary, Dr. Watson ” is the name of the contest that has called the Spanish society of general practitioners and family (SEMG) with regard to the twentieth Edition of its National Conference of General Medicine and family. A simple contest in which you can participate via the Internet, accessing the page of the 20th National Congress. You just have to find four words in a puzzle and among the winners are drawn in different phases, fourteen Awards: four packages of registration to the Congress and accommodation for four nights and ten Littman stethoscopes.

This is one of the novelties that will be releasing the preparation of this XX National Conference of General Medicine and family, that the SEMG will take place in Zaragoza from 22 to 25 May and the motto hand in hand with you ” focus on the agenda of the family doctor more useful for their practice scientific and professional today daily, through a full scientific programme that will definitely close in the next few days but which already outlines its content innovative training structures that this scientific society innovates every year.

Communications may be submitted until April 21

Communications are however one of the classics of the annual meetings of the SEMG which special attention continues. The organizers have established 21 April 2013 as the deadline for receipt of abstracts of original communications, and clinical cases for this next Congress. Three categories were defined: original, clinical cases, and communication of internal medical residents and only is adminitrian works that have not been published or accepted to be previously published, or have been presented at other conferences.

Scientific Committee will award the following prizes this year communications:

oral original: 900 Euro prize and second prize of 600 euros

original poster: 600 euros prize and second prize of 450 euro

clinical cases: Prize of 600 euros

resident medical interns: Prize 600 euros

best works related to pathology osteoarticular: three prizes of $ 900 each

this Committee may be granted in addition many honorable mentions deems appropriate in each category.

Medical stakeholders in participating should send their abstracts before the date mentioned, through the website of the 20th National Congress, where also see detailed information about the presentation of communications.

The SEMG, through its working group on methodology and research (Group MAI) offers advice and support to researchers so require it for the development of your research project; It helps the resolution of doubts on the correct methodology for the presentation of communications.
