Paris, 16 feb (EFE).-the French Government indicated today that it is preparing a decree to establish a premium of 10% for the sale of photovoltaic electricity when it is generated with solar panels manufactured in Europe, before the explosion of imports from Asia, and particularly China.
A source of the Ministry of ecology said to Efe that the Decree should be approved in April, and its preparation is being done from the model that exists in Italy from last year.
The bonus for the energy obtained with equipment manufactured in at least 60% in the European Union will be on the price that the electric EDF has obligation to acquire solar power, said the source.
A fee that is down very significantly in recent times in the quarterly review, in view of the number of projects for new installations.
The owner of ecology, Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, had justified on Tuesday this device to “produce renewable electricity, but creating jobs in France”.
According to the official figures, last September had in France capabilities of photovoltaic production of 2,300 megawatts which could have grown to 2,800 by the end of 2011. The pace of increase is now around 150 additional megawatts per quarter. EFE
