Ginemed clinics in Spain presents the new method of vitrification of the doctor Kuwayama which improves pregnancy rates.

-the main advantage is allowing the feasibility of 100% of the eggs, which is a marked progress against the previous method, that they only reached 80-90%

-this international expert is a pioneer in assisted reproduction, especially in cryopreservation with reproductive aims

-more than 500,000 children have come into the world thanks to their techniques, which are used in more than 1,200 clinics distributed to 50 different countries

-the national presentation has taken place in theory and practice, which is organized by Ginemed clinics and Foundation Ginemed

Seville, March of 2013.- El doctor Kuwayama has presented its new vitrification method in Seville, in the framework of the advanced course IV of vitrification and fertility preservation, organized by Foundation Ginemed and Ginemed clinics, only Center in Spain in which is available is new technique.

Cryotec, method that enables the viability of 100% of the eggs, after its devitrification, represents a marked improvement over the method Cryotop ”, explained the international expert, who remembers his previous method allowed only 80-90%. If the Protocol is applied strictly, it is possible to achieve 100% viable egg ”, says the doctor.

More than 500,000 children have come into the world thanks to his techniques, which are used in more than 1,200 clinics over 50 different countries.

Profile of the doctor Kuwayama

Doctor Masashige Kuwayama began a series of works in the field of embryology bovine in 1986, having developed various techniques of assisted reproduction, which have been the basis of reproduction human assisted current (IVM, in Vitro Fertilization, vitrification, embryo culture, ES cell).

He designed a mechanism for production in series of bovine embryos, a national project of Japan, developed in 1990. Result of this work, the Professor Kuwayama obtained first calves after vitrification of oocytes, in Vitro Fertilization, in Vitro culture and transfer of blastocysts, in 1992.

all these advances in reproduction, are the basis of the current, developing, in 1999, the method of Cryotop vitrification to human oocytes, establishing the first Bank of human oocytes in 2001 assisted human reproduction.

First babies, after fertilization of oocytes vitrified, born in the year 2000, in the U.S. and Japan, is achieved thanks to the use of the Cryotop method.

Course details

It is a theoretical and practical course, which was held in the Hospital NISA Seville-Aljarafe, and whose first part has been directed to gynecologists, oncologists, biologists, and other health professionals specialized in reproduction, interested to know and deepen the innovations in preservation of medical applications in the field of assisted human reproduction and fertility.

For its part, the practical module of the course focuses on biologists and professionals related biosanitary, specialized in human reproduction, interested in launching and optimizing the technology of vitrification of eggs for reproductive purposes, with this new system that allows a 100% viability.
