Hospital San juan de Dios in Santurtzi advocates cuento in its annual literary contest for school children

El V Certamen Literario of the Hospital San Juan of Dios in Santurtzi is addressed to young people under 18 years

-the object of the literary contest is the promotion of the health and habits of life healthy.

– the maximum length is cut up to 275 wordsin Spanish or Basque.

– as new, works will continue from a phrase from home: that morning I was not well and I went with my mother to ER… ”.

– the stories are received by email in the direction certamenliterario@hsjd.es until May 15.

Santurtzi, April 2012.- Hospital San Juan of Dios in Santurtzi has decided to opt for format the cuento in his V literary contest for young people, which organizes. Thus the 3 pages of previous editions, becomes in the present edition 275 words (half page). The reasons for the change are focused on facilitating the participation of young people in the initiative and promote the artistic production in response to the new modes of writing, strongly influenced by the use of new technologies.

As reflected in the literary contest bases, which are available for download on the website of the hospital santurtziarra (http://www.hospital-sanjuandedios.es) the object of the contest is the promotion of health and healthy life habits among children and youth.

For this reason, and this is another novelty, the writings should continue a sentence of home: that morning I was not well and I went with my mother to emergency … ”. Works may be submitted in Spanish or Basque and must be original and unpublished. Unlike previous editions, only pets are allowed written in prose.

The works must be send by e-mail to the address certamenliterario@hsjd.es before the end of May 15, 2012. For its part, the decision of the jury will be made public on May 27 and the best stories will be published on the website of the hospital.

The first prize of the contest, as well as its corresponding trophy and diploma counts 300 euros in school supplies; the second prize has 200 and the third with 100.

The contest has, as in previous years, with the collaboration of the Association Marrodán poetics and Juan city development non-governmental organization.
