Valencia, March 2012.- Hospital Universitario de La Ribera has brought together more than 70 specialists from all Spain to study and discuss the latest treatments in molecular. This scientific meeting has been organized by the health centre of Alzira and the Working Group of the Spanish society of Endocrinology and nutrition (SEEN).
On this day, titled I update course on molecular, experts and specialists in neurosurgery, Neuroradiology and endocrinology have analyzed the best strategies in the treatment of the pathology of the pituitary gland of the brain that regulates most hormonal processes of the human being.
Thus, the course has focused on areas such as molecular biology and genetics on pathology pituitary, Hypopituitarism (a condition in which the pituitary gland does not produce normal amounts of hormones), pituitary tumors, or the use of endoscopy and radiology in pituitary lesions.
It should be noted that the Hospital de La Ribera has become one of the centers of reference in the approach of the pituitary tumor. In this sense, this centre of Alzira intervenes annually an average of 30 patients distressed by this brain pathology.
