Placo bets on a healthy air in the buildings with the new Activ Air technology.
Madrid, January of 2013- people spend of average 80 percent of their time indoors of buildings by what the quality of the air in these spaces concerns increasingly both citizens and professionals of health and responsible public. Harmful substances such as carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, or the volatile organic volatile compounds (VOC) that come from appliances burning, elements and facilities of buildings and human activity itself are constantly is emitted into the air.
Activ Air technology developed by Saint-Gobain is characterized by double the absorption capacity and prevent the emission of aldehydes, so that it contributes to the quality of the air in the interior of buildings.
Most common emitted VOCs are aldehydes that are found in glues and resins used in industrial processes for manufacture of all kinds of materials, and are present in lacquers, varnishes, and some construction materials; and formaldehyde, which are found in glues and resins used to make chipboard panels and wood, coverings for pre-encolados paving, and in certain varnishes and tissues.
Activ Air of Placo technology allows uptake of these aldehydes because it causes a chemical reaction that transforms them into compounds inert, non-volatile or dangerous, so not again be emitted into the atmosphere.
