IL3 UB continues forming to the second edition of leaders in the field of epidemiological surveillance

Barcelona, February 2012.- the Institute for continuing education of the University of Barcelona (IL3-UB), committed to the new training needs of society and offer them a greater employability, is in constant expansion and updating of its formative offer in the area of health. In this sense, during the month of April will begin the second edition of the master in management of the programmes for the prevention, monitoring and Control of them infections related to the health system.

The programme, which has the support of the Department of health of the Generalitat of Catalonia yd Servei Català de la Salut, was born in order to contribute to the improvement of health care by providing health professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform its professional activity preventing infections related to the health system.

Persons involved in the design of the programme, which have extensive experience and a long and recognized professional career, contributed to the Institute of continuing education of the University of Barcelona and the desire and the will offer a program of university education pioneer in the prevention of infections related to the health system. In this sense, this master is to train experts in the field of epidemiological surveillance, able to lead the patient safety programs.

The master, which is offered in blended and is based on a first graduate, offers an opportunity for practical sessions in services of infections and control of Microbiology in hospitals of recognized prestige of all Spain in addition to incorporating, at a more advanced stage, a research project implemented through a project of integrated designb.
