“ Unamos our force” by the diseases neuromuscular.
Madrid, November 2011- on 11 and 12 November the 28TH National Congress of the Federation ASEM (Spanish Federation of neuromuscular diseases), Member entity of COCEMFE, was celebrated in Seville under the motto “Unamos our strength”. Affected, families and professionals, met in Hotel Tryp Macarena for scientific advances in research on neuromuscular diseases, and the social situation facing people living with these diseases in our country
Last Friday topics psycho social common to different pathologies and on Saturday had a medical approach to presentations on research and genetics. Carried out workshops for diseases where the persons concerned resolved their concerns with specialized professionals. The Congress ended with an updated approach to the fisiorehabilitación as only palliative treatment common to these diseases.
The ASEM Federation an organization non-profit that brings together associations of people affected by neuromuscular diseases to promote all kinds of actions and activities – outreach, research, awareness-raising and information – to improve the quality of life, integration and development of the affected / ACE. Currently consists of 21 associations with more than 8,000 partners, representing more than 50,000 affected / ACE in all Spain.
