Madrid, may 2012.- La Madrileña Association of Haematology and haemotherapy (AMHH) has a new President. Dr. Pedro Sánchez Godoy, head of the Hematology service and haemotherapy in the Hospital Universitario Severo Ochoa, of Madrid, who was appointed in the last Congress of the AMHH will be the Chair for the next two years.
Although the recent cuts made by the Government affect significantly to health, is one of the objectives of the AMHH ensure the best conditions for patients and provide an equitable quality services of Hematology of all the cities of the community of Madrid. This online doctor Sánchez Godoy, who is also a member of the directive Board of the Spanish society of Haematology and haemotherapy (AEHH), said his willingness to collaborate with the public administrations to promote an efficient therapeutic activity and high quality, despite economic circumstances ”.
In this sense, Dr. Sanchez Godoy has highlighted the work of the Madrid Hematologists, are currently working on the design of a plan of action enabling them to provide assistance in hospitals. According to the President of the AMHH, one of the key points for the specialty in the community of Madrid is in redefine the plan of guards to cover a 24-hour assistance ”. In addition, shows special concern to the externalization of laboratories, that we consider that the patient is essential that the diagnosis is made from hospitals ”.
