Madrid, February 2012.- La Fundación AstraZeneca and the Valencian Association of Bipolar disorder convened the third edition of the contest of stories and illustrations on Bipolar disorder, with the theme women and Bipolar disorder ”.
The aim of this competition is to publicize the mental illness through the experience of the patients themselves and their families. For that purpose, the best stories and selected, and award-winning illustrations will be published on websites www.avtbipolar.org and www.fundacionastrazeneca.es as a support tool for information and awareness about the disease
the contest will consist of two categories – tales and illustrations – and may participate any person diagnosed Bipolar disorder or have a family member diagnosed with this pathology. both modalities must turn around This disease, in accordance with the above-mentioned item. Each participant may submit a single specimen that must be original and have not been awarded previously or be pending judgment in another contest.
Admission of works began on 1 February and will end March 31, 2012, admitting those shipments held until that date postmark.
The winners of the contest will receive a diploma of honor in recognition of the work presented at the III contest of stories and illustrations on Bipolar disorder.
Bases of the two categories: Tales and illustrations
Under the motto women and Bipolar disorder ”, the contest will be held on Bipolar disorder. The technique and how to approach the subject of stories will be free. The text should be written in Castilian language with a maximum length of 3 leaves to one side, numbered and will be presented in DIN A4 format.
As for illustrations, technique and how to approach the subject shall also free, color or black and white and in single format DIN A4.
In both categories, the data of the author will be presented in a separate envelope, stating the title and the pseudonym abroad. It will be said on a sheet with the details of the author (name, surname, address, e-mail, phone, ID). In the original and reproductions of the works shall indicate only the pseudonym.
The work will be sent by postal mail, to section 9023, 46080 Valencia or by e-mail to the address gabineteprensa@AVTB.org indicating in the subject: III contest of stories and illustrations ” on Bipolar disorder ”.
The jury shall consist of a representative of the AstraZeneca Foundation and a representative of the Valencian Association of Bipolar disorder. In the category of stories that jury will be complemented by a journalist specializing in the health sector, while in the category of illustrations will be a leading professional in the world of fine arts.
The jury decision, which is final, will be public on 18 and 19 may at the V Jornadas de la Comunidad Valenciana on Bipolar disorder Elx 2012 ”. The works received awards and selected, permanently, in the websites (www.avtbipolar.org and www.fundacionastrazeneca.es) 20 will be published.
