more than 200 students know the work of professionals in the vinalopo Valley Hospital in a day of vocational guidance
II JORNADA INTERAULAS, the health professional you want to be ”
– after the success of the first edition, the Organization has decided to repeat the experience in which participated more than 200 students.
-the objective of this initiative is to facilitate the decision-making process of each student at this early age and make aware them of the importance of choosing your professional future.
Elx, April 2012.- The Hospital of the Vinalopó has hosted the second day INTERaulas addressed to students of different institutes of secondary education of the Department. Under the title the health professional you want to be ”, the vinalopo Valley Health Department has welcomed more than 200 students, guiding them in training with a view to their future academic.
The day of both days had the assistance of more than 200 students of the Salesians institutes, Nit de l´Albà , Carrús and Macià Abela.
Professionals of various categories have explained to students their daily work in the Centre, telling their personal experiences and solving questions from students relating to the election of his college career or other matters of interest. In this sense, have been conducted 7 papers in the hands of 2 doctors, staff nursing (nurse, Assistant and support staff), a pharmacist, physiotherapist, technician of laboratory and social worker, who have moved to the students the role these professionals in the Organizationoffering the student a first approach to the world of work.
It is an initiative aimed at students of secondary and high school, which aims to guide young people face their future academic providing information on the various health professions. This initiative aims to facilitate decision making of each student for their academic itinerary as well as promoting students awareness of the importance of choosing your professional future at this early age.
Moreover, tutors and students have valued very positively this second call and consider that it is an opportunity so students know about the daily work that is carried out in a health centre of these features.
Full of Health Department VISION
Apart from these interventions students have received information about the diversity of professional categories working together, offering them a more complete picture about what other not strictly health professions, are essential for the functioning of the Centre.
They have thus could know functions and departments that apart from the health, integrate the area, such as the Economic Department, the Department of communication, maintenance, procurement and general services, among others.
Finally, the Centre has offered students a healthy lunch and showed them a video that picks up the main areas of the Hospital of the Vinalopó and way of functioning.
