San Juan, 8 jun (EFE).-forty-four works of young people with Down syndrome are exhibited in the State Commission of elections of San Juan in the exhibition “canvases, objects and life ’.

the Executive Director of the Down Syndrome Foundation in Puerto Rico, Dora Cora, today told Efe that works that were made by young people include objects that are in any residence.

he stressed that some of the objects they collected young people in their samples are pieces of Windows, doors, carpets and fabrics, among others.

“our purpose is to make magic in art with everything that surrounds us, including very modern sculptures,”said Cora, who has spent a year and a half leading the organization.

Cora recalled that the Foundation has already made similar exhibitions in which young people have made works in oil and acrylic.

young people who exhibit their works in the exhibition include Marilín Rivera and Alemari Marxuach, who were excited by the opportunity to present their work.

Rivera, for its part, has excelled with his pieces to win prizes in exhibitions in Puerto Rico and have exhibited their work in events in the United States.

Cora noted that young artists with Down syndrome who belong to the art workshop “RecicArte Down”, directed by the artist Hubert Cano, are “a natural art ability”, as well as for music and sport.

“We want to demonstrate that through their skills and experiences they want you say to the world that we’re here and they can bring many nice things,” said Cora.
